Conference Venue/Location

The conference will take place in the splendour of Sir Christopher Wren’s Old Royal Naval College, now home to the University of Greenwich’s Maritime Campus. The Greenwich Maritime Campus is on a World Heritage Site on the banks of the River Thames. It is the university's largest campus and is centred on three baroque buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren at the end of the 17th century. The UK’s Independent newspaper once described it as “More breathtaking than the Versailles of Louis XIV”. The Stephen Lawrence Gallery is also on the campus. The Gallery provides a showcase for the work of contemporary artists. The grounds of the Old Royal Naval College, the location of the conference, also house the tourist attractions of the Painted Hall and Chapel.
